THE SIMPLE IDEAFrom “I need a hand”
From “I need a hand”
to “that's sorted.”
Why should finding someone to help with an everyday job be harder than ordering a takeaway? We think it should be this simple.
02
Find who's free
Our planned matching experience focuses on nearby providers and genuine availability, not outdated directories.
03
Get on with life
Arrange the work through a simple booking journey and get that job off your list.
This is how Phomer is being designed to work. The booking marketplace is in development planning and is not yet open.
NOT ANOTHER DIRECTORY
The difference is right now.
Most ways of finding local help start with a list of names. Then the calls, messages, waiting and hoping begin.
Phomer is being designed to start with something much more useful: who's nearby and actually available.

Whether you're a tradesperson, service professional or a capable local helper, Phomer is being built to help you turn free capacity into new opportunities.
How Homers will workA SCOTTISH STARTUP WITH BIG PLANSStarting local.
Starting local.
Thinking bigger.
Phomer was born from a simple observation: local people need help at the same time other local people have skills and time to offer. We're building a more direct way to bring them together.
Founded by an entrepreneur with almost 20 years' experience running service businesses, Phomer is currently working towards market validation and a first launch in Greater Glasgow.

GOOD QUESTIONSCurious?
Curious?
Us too.
We're still building the foundations. Here's what we can tell you so far.
Can I book a Homer today?
Not yet. Phomer is a pre-launch business. We're validating demand and planning the first version of the platform before taking live bookings.
Where is Phomer launching?
We're planning to start in Greater Glasgow, refine the service using real feedback and expand step by step.
What kind of jobs will Phomer cover?
Our vision spans everyday local services such as help around the house, cleaning, gardening, furniture assembly and other practical jobs. Exact services and provider requirements will be confirmed during development.
What's a “Homer”?
It's our name for a local service provider on Phomer. The platform is being designed for people with skills and spare availability who want to find relevant work nearby.
How will providers be checked?
Identity checks, profiles, reviews and relevant verification processes are part of our planned marketplace design. The specific standards will be confirmed before launch.
